As a heavyweight player in the smart home market, Google Home is the only player on the same level as the Amazon Alexa ecosystem. Although Google released its first smart speaker and Google Assistant service in November 2016, almost two years later than Amazon, the platform is growing fast and strong, especially after Google merged Nest with Google Home.
